mov to mpeg

Nice program. I hope to get it working for purpose of watching mpeg-1 videos on my ipaq.

I would like to convert mov files to mpeg-1. I get the error/dialogue box: "Not a video file or File not supported or codec not installed." If it's not the first two, how do I ensure proper codecs?
