editing in Dexster

Hi,
I am trying to mix two files so I faded out, amplified (-), and faded in the volume on one and mixed with the other. Then I saved it under a new name. As long as I am in Dexster, I can listen to the "correct" version. Once I play the file on another audia software, the volume of the background file remains as it was in the orginal file. Is there a way to make the volume changes permanent..


Any help..
