New HP Pavilion p 6267 w/Win-7 & Dexter 3.3.
Can't see DVD/CD drive, even after .ini Vista=1 setting done.
OS thinks the drive is present and can play CDs.
I can't find a reference to remedy this state. Ideas, anyone?

Hi,

Please make sure that there is no other application currently accessing/playing the media on the DVD/CD drive. If the problem remain, please right-click on Dexster program icon and select Run As Administrator. Thank you

Thanks Rick,

Nothing else was/is accessing/playing media on the drive--that I can tell. Are there system or service processes that I should be looking out for? None seem apparent.

I run Dexter as admin and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Should my media in the drive be in a certain state? All other audio programs recognize blank media as available to burn onto. Humm.

Thanks again.

Christopher
