i am fairly new at this and i am not sure how to enhance vocals in an mp3 file from a digital recorder. i need to reduce the background and boost the vocals so that i can transcribe the entire conversation. am i even using the appropriate audio editor with dexster? i have tried a few others and was not happy with the results. if i just use the EQ to do this will it be enough or are there other "tricks" i can use in Dexster to enhance the vocals? some of the problem lies in the fact that the parties in the recording are often talking over the other and some of the time the speech of one of the parties is often hard to discern because of background noise, some of which is feedback and distortion . Any ideas??
