How to set the type of the file when you open it?

I would like to use the editor to analyze the results of digital processing. But I need to load a file to specify how many bits in each report and make Mono and not stereo (as in CoolEdit). Is it possible to do it in your editor?

By clicking on the New button on toolbar and it shall allow you to customize the audio attributes.
